I look forward to seeing in person the oil, beeswax, resin and egg tempera. And perhaps one day you could show me how you make paint.

WOW! The Paradis III panel takes my breath away. I’ve always loved poppies but this seems to sum up the thing that I love (in a style that suits my own) to create this beautiful smile on linen. I’m so glad you have a website I can browse and fill myself up on. THANKS!

hey john, just thought i’d leave a little note for you. For my PEI History class we were to do a project on a famous islander. so i remembered heading down to the art gallery a few weeks prior to this assignment and i felt i had to write about this particular group of pictures and their artist. “They did something to me that Jim Morrison had only done before” I felt the whole thing to be a psychadellic experience. I won’t get into detail, just thought i should say great work, and that i had to just write me whole experience of the pictures because i couldnt find enough info on you!

Thanks Robbie. I’m very pleased you had such a positive experience looking at the paintings. I’d love to hear how your project goes. Good luck and thanks again.

Hi Adrian,
They are from the front yard of Fort Singleton.
I stayed there in the year 2000 on a road trip through Ireland and Scotland. My wife’s family are Trainor’s from that area.
That is such a beautiful place, we’ll always remember it fondly.
When we got back from our trip I did a series of paintings based on things I saw and the poppies out front stuck in my mind.
John
